Instructions were clear enough and all assembly tools and parts came with it. Much easier with two people but possible for one. The umbrella itself is on a swivel at the top which allows it to swing in the breeze a bit. This is actually a feature I think, saves it from wind damage.They both came with bases, the bigger one came with a metal frame and 4 strong casters with brakes, on which the base attaches. The smaller came with two plastic wheels that fit onto the bottom of the base. Like any umbrella they should be collapsed & tied up when not in use and when too windy.You will need 6-7 bags of sand per base, then fill with water.Overall good value for the size and that the base is included.
